“Play It Loud”

About the song

August Parker is the alter ego I used for my live experiments, performing live with Paul Geluso‘s sound objects. 

Experiments Paul and I started at BSP Kingston in november 2017. 
Writing and producing the music for these immersive live experience resulted in a series of songs. 
I imagined a universal voice for these songs, a voice being as much female as male, young and old.
With Emily Vernaillen I found the perfect voice to match with mine to make this happen. 
2020 should have been the year to release a first album and to tour with the project. COVID-19 changed all that, but despite all that I decided to release this track anyway with Emily’s permission. I produced it in 2018 but it feels very here and now.
I have no plans with this project so far as I have no perspective but I sincerely hope the music will travel to places we can’t and let us dream of getting there ourselves one day.

Thanks Paul Geluso and Emily Vernaillen for collaborating with me on this track. Looking forward to continue our journey.
